On the eve of the new Millenium, Andrea Bocelli returned to the Eternal City,
Rome, to give a concert of favourite sacred arias
All of the songs featured in this program are new and have been especially written for Andrea, as they are based on and inspired by his own memories and fantasies.
Each song at once celebrates Bocelli's soaring spirit, while it is also deeply rooted in the landscape, the people and the soul of his beloved Tuscany.

Bocelli and Church are among a handful of performers in this 1999 service from
London's Westminster Abbey, including actresses Greta Scacchi and Joan Plowright
and Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel.
Andrea contributes two Schubert selections, "Mille Cherubino in Coro"
and the beloved "Ave Maria," as well as "Sancta Maria,"
a version of Mascagni's famous melody from Cavalleria Rusticana.
